Two men who fall in love amidst the Kosovo war. Both men struggle in a society and time that is homophobic and torn apart by the war. Statovci does an incredible job in making you feel sorry for the protagonist but also despise him. Bolla is heartbreaking, dark and at times disturbing. If you love angsty reading then this book is definitely for you.
